Cartagena's cuisine is one of the most extensive and varied in Colombia and one of the most original in America. All this is thanks to its history and the fusion of three races: the indigenous, the Spanish and the African, each contributing their products and eating habits, in order to create a season where there is balance and harmony in the flavors, without any imposed on others.
Start time: 8:00
Duration: 6 Hours
This culinary journey begins accompanied by our chef and teacher at the Bazurto Market, where we will taste the Arepa de Huevo, one of the city's signature dishes. Then we will tour the
colorful, festive, authentic and hectic market corridors to buy our ingredients and learn about the gastronomic and cultural tradition of the city. Once we have everything ready it will be
time to return to Getsemaní where a fully equipped restaurant kitchen will be waiting for us to prepare a delicious menu from which we can choose between ceviches, soups, fish, seafood and
meats, but yes, always accompanied by unmatched rice with coconut from Cartagena. For dessert, enyucao, fruit jellies or cocadas are some of the options that we can choose to prepare. Once we
have finished our preparation we can taste it and share our knowledge with the rest of the group to return to the hotel.
