Besides experiencing this stunning City adventure, you will experience with this journey the rural and authentic life in the green mountain region of the department of Antioquia. In the idyllic village of Santa Elena you visit a traditional "Silletero", which decorate his back with floral arrangements and prepare for the largest flower festival in the world each year in Medellin. The sensational landscape around the lake El Peñol, which you can visit after 750 steps (of course, not mandatory) by about 220m high monolith of the same name. Experience one of the finest and most colorful villages of Colombia and visit Hacienda Napoles, the country residence of the former drug lord Pablo Escobar, you learn everything about the dramatic years of the country in the time of the Medellin cartel. You leave the Magdalena Valley and end your short trip with a visit to the nature reserve Rio Claro. Here you can wander through the tropical jungle, explore caves and swim in the crystalline river water.

Day 1: We pick you up at the hotel. By public transportation you can experience the city from its most exciting side. The first stop is on Parque Berrio, here, you will experience the colorful and turbulent goings traditional Guasca music. Then, you can take a walk in Plaza Botero, where are the famous 23 sculptures by the artist Fernando. Immerse yourself in the vibrant life of downtown and get to Parque Bolivar where you can visit the imposing Cathedral of Medellín. Continue with the metro and explore the most beautiful urban botanical garden in the country. Finally, take the Metrocable, an integrated system with Metro funicular, in the ride you experience the hustle and bustle view of the neighborhood Santo Domingo and enjoy the best views of the Andes in the metropolis Aburra valley.
Day 2: First, you visit the pretty mountain town of Santa Elena. Here you will meet a traditional "Silletero", then you visit a flower farm and learn about one of the main export products of Colombia and organic farming. The beautiful scenic drive will take you to the dam El Peñol. Even the base of the 220m high monolith has a wonderful view of the surrounding area, however, you have can go up to about 750 steps and enjoy the best views. The day ends in the idyllic village of Guatape.
Day 3: after breakfast, we go approx 2,000m down to the Magdalena Valley. Here, we go visiting the Hacienda Napole, and dive into the eccentric life of the drug lord Pablo Escobar, murdered in 1993. You can explore the ruins of the former Villa and get to know some of its collection of exotic animals, that are today left. You learn about the terrible years of violence during the war against the cartel of Medellin and the deep scars, that this society has experienced. In the late afternoon you get to reach Rio Claro
Day 4: This a day dedicated to nature. You go hiking through the tropical forest and explore the fascinating gorge. Discover unique caves and have time to relax on the beautiful beaches of Rio Claro river. In the afternoon drive back to Medellin.
